Arriving in few weeks time.
People keep crying about rent prices in Accra, but the uncomfortable truth is some of you are not broke, you are just suffering individually by choice. Hear me out.
Imagine 5 friends actually trusted each other enough to plan. Each person saves GH₵1,000 a day.
That’s GH₵5,000 a day. GH₵35,000 a week. GH₵1,825,000 a year. Together.
That’s enough to buy property one by one until everyone owns a house. In 5 years, all of you could be landlords.
But no. Everybody wants to suffer alone, pay landlord alone, then gather online to cry about Accra rent.
Rent is a problem, yes but our bigger problem is no unity, no trust, no discipline, and no long-term thinking. 👍🏾
Educate them? 😂 Please. Galamsey didn’t start yesterday. For years there have been campaigns, warnings, documentaries, stakeholder meetings, community engagements and all kinds of “education.” Yet our rivers keep getting worse.
At some point, government must stop talking and act decisively. Your own President, while in opposition, said a state of emergency should’ve been declared over galamsey. Now you’re in power and suddenly the solution is “education”?
Be serious. Ghanaians are tired of speeches while the water bodies keep dying. Sometimes it’s hard not to think some of you are defending this because of politics or instructions from above.
Abebrese / Mysterious Ways has always been a personal record.

Citizens complaining about Dumsor or bad governance are not enemies of the state. They are people demanding accountability. If we can monitor ordinary citizens this aggressively, then the same energy must be used against illegal mining destroying the country’s future.
A nation cannot survive when criticism gets more attention than corruption and environmental destruction. Ghana must do better.
