@Combat_learjet But do you want to live somewhere where we don’t take risks to improve? USA sunk $B into shale oil in the 70s, even set off an underground nuke to prime the pump, and got nothing that was economical.
What we learned on molten salt tech may be key for future small nuke plants.

@Combat_learjet I’m going to take a different spin on this: America needs to have the daring to try, even if things fail. The tech failed to scale (it had been tried in smaller projects before, maybe not the molten salt tho). PV panel and natural gas prices fell - good news for USA, bad for this
