NEW ACCOUNT | Breaking down NFL injuries and biomechanics so fans know what to expect. Recovery time, severity, and updates you won’t get from the broadcast.
@Succa_repellent@MEDspirationNFP I will have to look. If the ankle is still bothering him then they will give him something for the pain. I don’t think he’s gotten hurt before either (college, NFL) so the first injury especially to the ankle can be harder to deal with for him.
Great breakdown here. Should be 3-5 weeks for Ashton Jeanty to recover but with pain medication, injections, and bracing he could be back sooner… all depends on what the #RaiderNation decide to do.
#RaiderNation RB Ashton Jeanty’s ankle sprain is reportedly “more low than high”—With 19 days until a questionable Week 1, those 4 words give an important medical clue. Let’s break this down 🏴☠️
@JoeHxndles Definitely possible. Cannot confirm or deny but unstable footwear can cause increased demand and stability from somewhere else and for his case it could be his hamstrings if his cleats are too big👍
@SamuelMiller74 Could be coming from his hips as well. Hard to tell because I am not with him but just reporting what I see. Not denying that he isn’t strong. But with strength you also need to know how to use the muscles correctly when performing an action and I would like to see him decelerate
Don’t want to jump to conclusions on Jordyn Tyson’s hamstring injuries, but in every video I’ve seen he does not activate his quads for deceleration with running or jumping. He needs to learn how to activate them better to decrease his risk of recurring hamstring injuries.
@SamuelMiller74 So his quads activate but not to the level of what the demand is. It looks like his knees are buckling when he landed and his quads need to step in and control the motion better. He also doesn’t slow down as quick as he needs to when he’s running which is also quads.
The amount of usage a RB had last year follows a trend on the usage they will have this year for fantasy:
📈Saquon Barkley
📈Derrick Henry
📉CMC
📉Jonathan Taylor
Older RBs’ bodies can only handle so much.
Do NOT listen to the fantasy football influencers that say Malik Nabers will have issues this year. I project he will play his best football but might take a few games to get there.
Broncos coach Sean Payton said Bo Nix (ankle) is doing well, and he expects the QB to be full-go at training camp.

I’m not sure where the rumors came from that Rome Odunze won’t ever be 100% from his foot injury. Not only will he be 100% but he will also be a household name in the NFL this season.
#Bears HC Ben Johnson on the long-term status of Rome Odunze’s foot:
“Nothing new to me…he looks like the same old Rome, so I think we’re in good shape.”
Texans are placing TE Brevin Jordan on season-ending injured reserve due to the knee injury he suffered during Monday’s practice, as @jonmalexander also reported.
@zephcourtney Could be a multitude of reasons or many things combined. It’s hard to tell because there are many athletes with their feet like Tatum but never get injured. Overuse is definitely big in the NBA and this was just something I noticed with Tatum’s gait.
#Rams QB Matt Stafford is dealing with an aggravated disc in his back and is getting an epidural for pain while doing physical therapy to help manage it. Worst case would be surgery, but that’s unlikely. I expect him to be ready for Week 1.
🚨 It’s now being reported that #Steelers rookie QB Will Howard fractured one of the bones in his pinky finger. Regardless, it should still take 6+ weeks to fully heal — expect him to miss the entire preseason.
Here are the bones that I suspect they meant of Will Howard’s fractured based on the report of “small bone in hand.” It’s most likely one of these two.
It’s probably the hook of hamate or pisiform, both small bones in the wrist, for Will Howard. Even though reports say ~3 weeks, the #Steelers should wait 6+ weeks to let it fully heal, especially since it’s in his throwing hand.
