Nepal has reported its tragedy openly and honestly. With 540 to 580 confirmed dead, the country deployed 29 civilian helicopters, 6 military aircraft, drones, satellites and 15,000 responders trekking on foot through washed-out valleys.

Around 4,000 people have been rescued so far. Independent journalists have reported freely, with detailed survivor accounts and real casualty figures updated daily.

Among the missing are 65 to 90 American tourists and over 500 foreigners from 30 countries.

🇨🇳 China's Tibet tells a completely different story.

Beijing claims only 5 to 7 dead — with 558 missing confirmed by their own state media. The viral flood video has been scrubbed from China's heavily censored internet. All has seen is a single still-frame aired on state television.

There are no survivor accounts from Tibet, almost no user-generated footage, and independent journalists have reportedly been barred from the entire area.

Same river. Same wave. Same morning. Nepal lost 500+. China lost 5.

When the numbers don't add up and the cameras aren't allowed in — the cover-up IS the story.

A desperate search is underway for more than 1,500 people still missing after catastrophic flooding devastates Nepal and Tibet.

At least 547 people are dead, with about 90 Americans among those still unaccounted for.

The disaster was reportedly triggered by a glacier collapse that sent a wall of water and mud several stories high tearing through the region. Now, more rain could complicate the race to find survivors.

🚨 Lindsay Clancy murder trial: heading to jury deliberations
