Any St. John’s historians that can help? I’ve exhausted local resources w/ no luck. Wondering if anyone has any pictures or knowledge of a former establishment, known as The White House and located near the bottom of Carters Hill (the portion of the street that no longer exists)
@LukeQuinton Thanks Luke! It was a boarding house and the where my grandmother Joan Bursey grew up. The name, she said, was due to the fact it was the only white house on the street. Thanks again for reposting.

A big contributor to our neighborhood issues are the landlords being paid by income support to house new Canadians and ppl with complex issues without any support. Income support only pays rent & refuses to provide support when the landlord takes advantage of them.
