Back home at 3am. Watchd taped match back. Couple hours sleep.. exam was 15m 'chat' in Spanish.. the 'oral.' Been taught to steer topics to what you'd revised. Tutor at the Uni asked what I liked to do..

We flew Towns Travel. Not that I told my dad but had to be back for an A level the next morning.. if had missed it would have cost me a year of my life doing them again. But I just couldn't miss the game. Top decision

The date seared into the memory for evermore. Peak Everton. The little lad who trudged with his dad up Priory Road all those years was here.. in Holland.. watching the blues win a European trophy.
