March 23, 1943 | Some 1,700 Sinti and Roma coming from Bialystok placed in barracks 20- 22 in the so-called Gypsy camp (Zigeunerlager) in Birkenau are taken to gas chambers and murdered on suspicion of having typhus.

Less than 9 % of the Roma deported to Auschwitz survived.

Only 200 Macedonian Jews in total survived the Holocaust.

22.03.1892|Dora Sara Uhrmacher née Schlachter was born in Tarnów. She was a housewife. In May 1942 she was deported to the Lublin District from Leipzig, and later to the German Nazi extermination camp SS-Sonderkommando #Belzec and murdered in the gas chambers.

On this day in 19430, a 23 year old Polish woman perished in Auschwitz. She was a Polish student of art and creator of the symbol of Fighting Poland along with being a scout of the underground paramilitary Gray Ranks. Her name was Anna Smoleńska

On this day in 1867, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 6 Jul 1942 she was deported to the Theresienstadt among a 1000 Jews deported that day, 955 died. On the 15 Oct 1942 she was deported to Treblinka - she was most probably murdered on arrival. Her name was Emilie Taussigová

No. 26947, Czesława Kwoka, a 14yo Catholic Polish girl was murdered with a phenol injection into her heart. Deported to Auschwitz to make Lebensraum for German settlers. 🔺Red triangle - political prisoner. The political thing about her was that she was Polish and alive. Wrong on both counts according to German state ideology.

13 March 1931 | A Hungarian Jewish girl, Ilona Junger, was born in Miskolc.

In 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

In March 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive.

On this day in 1864, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 16 Jul 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt where she perished on the 12 Aug 1942. Her name was Anna Jaretzká

8 March 1929 | A French Jewish girl, Claudine Malack, was born in Paris.

She arrived at #Auschwitz on 13 November 1942 in a transport of 745 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among the 599 people murdered after selection in a gas chamber.

On this day in 1938, a Czech Jewish girl was born. On the 2 Jul 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt with her mother and then to Auschwitz on the 15 Dec 1943 where they both perished. Her name was Shirley Wilmann
