7: Marufuku Ramen (@RamenMarufuku ), 4828 Telegraph. Very similar to 6...it looks like one group built all of the parklets in this block. The screens are janky but they do the job. Tables on the sidewalk are nice for accessibility.

10: Asmara, 5020 Telegraph. Lights are nice. No curb cut (and they don’t benefit from a nearby crosswalk)

29: Pucquio, 5337 College Ave. Looks like they got a good deal on lumber. I question whether it’s worth the effort for such a small parklet. And could a wheelchair even fit between those middle posts? Weird tarp roof thing going on.

Parklet and sidewalk were absolute bustling while keeping the sidewalk mostly clear.

33: Kitchen Story, 5422 College Ave. this design could become a standard, the clear roofing looks so good and creates a nice sense of space. I like the wall they built on the sidewalk side, allowing for one more table next to the parklet.

32: A16, 5356 College Ave. Simple, nice and big, love the floor design.

31: McNally’s, 5352 College Ave. This is another one worth visiting. The green roofing is perfect for an Irish pub, plus the decorations. Love the high tables to make it feel like a bar, though bummer on accessibility.

30: Rikyu, 5335 College Ave. Same as #29 but bigger and more accessible.

28: À Côté, 5478 College Ave. Great use of clear plastic roofing, and bold paint job. Solid metal roof construction. You’ll stay dry from the rain, but if there’s thunder, leave 🌩

27: Crepevine, 5600 College Ave. Same design as #26 next door, but they went big on flowers & greenery. Beautiful job.

26: Ben ‘N Nick’s, 5612 College Ave. A solid, cozy parklets. One theme on college is a lot of lumber being used. Maybe they are putting seating up top...

25: Market Hall, 5644 College Ave (seating on Shafter). There’s something chaotic about this one - maybe the narrow, sheltered sidewalk blocked by seating, or the full sun. I think the one not in use is for the restaurant, closed midday, but MH patrons would enjoy if it were open

24: Ramen Shop (@ramenoakland), 5812 College Ave. The mostly steel structure is nice, feels permanent. Tables are very close but post-vaccine I don’t see it as an issue. Hooks on the floorboards are a little funny - maybe for easy disassembly? Ramp is nice.

23: Redfield Cider, 5815 College Ave. Cute little parklet, I bet they’re wishing it was twice as big. Nice paint job and the ramp looks ok. Good shelter.

22: Golden Squirrel (@goldensquirrelp) 5940 College Ave. Nice use of pallets and a collab with local landscape design group. Almost a year old and it’s held up well.
