Tōkon Warriors,
What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who jumped into the Open Beta and joined the fight. This is exactly why we run these, to get the game in your hands and find what we can make better before launch.
To our PC players, message received. The team is already hard at work on the performance you deserve, with improvements lined up for day one:
• Reducing overall CPU usage to improve performance
• Fixing frame rate drops and lag
• Resolving an issue causing unnecessary shader compilation at startup
• Improving compatibility when streaming with OBS and Discord
• Addressing rollback netcode and cross-play issues
We are also working on fixes for a number of other reported issues.
Every match you played taught us something, and we're heads down making sure #MARVELTokon: Fighting Souls delivers at launch and beyond.
This is just the start. See you on August 6th!
Point goblin can help star lord setup elements anywhere thx to bomb, here's a sequence with the grav grenade oki ending
The trick for the rejump is to call assist immediatly after 214M and do everything as quickly as possible

Blaz's fuzzy https://t.co/oPb0pV531o > Drive Rush https://t.co/Tel2GMnFVc > cross-up sequence.
Against opponents with around 3 bars or less of Drive Gauge, if you punish their throw tech attempt with the cross-up, you can combo into https://t.co/Tel2GMnFVc > 4HP > DI to drain about 2 Drive bars, then continue the offense and aim for Burnout.
Against Zangief, Bison, and A.K.I., if you score a knockdown in the corner, continuing the pressure with a jump-in to drain the remaining Drive Gauge is also effective.

Akuma version.
Fuzzy https://t.co/oPb0pV531o > Drive Rush https://t.co/Tel2GMnFVc > cross-up > cr.HP > DI.
If the opponent tries to escape by jumping backward, you can intercept them with an air-to-air for a big reward.

Situations specific to Sagat and Guile.

Cross-up mix-up and Drive Gauge pressure after a sweep Punish Counter.
If the opponent has around 3 bars or less of Drive Gauge, a Punish Counter sweep removes about 1 bar, and you can then threaten jump-in > OD214P to push them into Burnout.
If they start using Parry to avoid the cross-up or Drive Gauge chip, mixing in a throw becomes very effective.

For Ryu and Akuma, a high anti-air LP Shoryuken allows double forward dash for approximately +2 to +4 point-blank.
You can also dash into Drive Rush for oki. Using forward dash > Drive Rush > delayed throw lets you recover in time to block a reversal invincible attack while maintaining strong pressure.
Small Techniques to Learn from Blaz's Ryu
0:00-
React to charge attacks with Parry, and if they whiff, punish with Drive Rush

Use a fuzzy https://t.co/oPb0pV5AQW against Zangief's okizeme
0:09-
Drive Rush https://t.co/Tel2GModKK into a cross-up to both switch sides and beat delayed throw tech
0:13-
After a sweep whiff punish, take a small step back to adjust your spacing
Then use a jump-in HP or MK for a left-right mixup
0:17-
After a high-hit HP Shoryuken, dash forward twice for point-blank +2
Going for a Drive Rush okizeme is also a good option
0:27-
Drive Rush https://t.co/Tel2GModKK (blocked) → cross-up jump
Punishes delayed throw techs of around 5F with a Punish Counter
MK won't connect on most of the cast, so use a cross-up LK instead
0:44-
Left-right mixup after a Punish Counter sweep
Take a small step back to adjust your spacing, then jump with HP or MK
If they hold forward, HP hits
If they hold back, MK connects
1:03-
Ryu's fuzzy cr.LP has short range and tends to lose against the tip range of Zangief's delayed LP SPD
Using a fuzzy https://t.co/oPb0pV5AQW is generally much more reliable
