Such an honour to be back in my old school, talking to familiar faces (kids of former classmates!) and seeing the glint in a few of their eyes at the thought of aid work as one of their infinite career options.
Last week our students were lucky to participate in a workshop hosted by @EvinJoyce and Ulemu. Mr. Joyce spoke to the students about his work in Malawi where he works to provide humanitarian aid #etbethos#excellenceineducation#community#respect @laoisoffalyetb

@RestIsPolitics@campbellclaret@RoryStewartUK Dear Rory, I have built my home on a remote island in Malawi where 4,000 people live in extreme poverty on the frontline of climate change, see: https://t.co/rjcjDlqTxH ...We're trying to achieve the SDGs by 2030. After cash transfers, what do you think will be most important?
These Irish dancing medals (found in a secondhand shop in #Blantyre) will be prized on the shores of #LakeChilwa for some time to come.
Well done to all of this month's boat racers:

Ever wondered what the global supply chain & energy price crises mean for extremely poor people in a land-locked, agrarian-based country like #Malawi?
Here's one take on it: https://t.co/5mUqUnBinO

Happy Halloween! Here's an update on where things stand half-way through our '100-days-to-Christmas' work plan for Chisi Island: https://t.co/JUX4bdiroV
...Thanks especially to all of you amazing donors for making all of this possible :)chisi
@drivetime@RTERadio1 Re scoliosis - I'm listening in Malawi, 1 of the world's poorest countries - a man here told me there's a difference between a country that is civilised and one that's sophisticated. Ireland may be sophisticated but it's certainly not civilised one. Shame!
Can all agree that no child should die from malaria when it costs just €1.50 to treat it? https://t.co/uzr2rfXmaG
...If you'd like to send a couple of euros for my mainland shopping trip, look no further than the 'donate' button on https://t.co/hK954MnwX1 #LeaveNoChildBehind
In partnership with staff at the clinic on the far side of Chisi Island 7km away, we've been giving malaria tests to the sick who come to my house with symptoms (€1/test) &, when positive, the tablets needed to stop it early (less than €2).

It's on! The 100 day workplan to Christmas begins today.
Plenty already on the agenda but new post-it note suggestions still very welcome.
Happy September :)

Give a man a fish here on #ChisiIsland, he'd look at you funny. Help a woman to teach though, and she may well educate her whole village: https://t.co/zzKup1xBxQ
@RTERadio1 Oliver! We're filling a container full of LEGO in Laois to send it to children in Malawi. Ryan has been ignoring me, please give us a shout out:

#HappySaintPatrick's Day!
In tribute to all of the Irish missionary priests & nuns who have dedicated their lives to serve the world's poorest people.
In the hope their good work & our good name will continue for as long as the legend of Saint Patrick: https://t.co/JHqPcms9xN
