I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community.
We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect?
Trans people are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity.
We know the England team losing the #EURO2024 is the worst outcome for some, for others however it's the reality of waiting for their partner to come home.
Football doesn't cause #DomesticAbuse, abusers do.

Our thoughts today, as always, are with all those affected by the tragedy at Hillsborough and the 97 fans who will never be forgotten.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.
The Premier League strongly condemns all forms of football tragedy abuse and is appalled by the chanting heard at Sunday’s match between Luton and Liverpool.
It causes distress to the victims’ families and other supporters. We, alongside clubs, The FA and EFL are working together to address it as a priority.

I have a confession !
Last season @Heineken asked me and @jillscottjs8 to swap Twitter accounts as part of a social experiment to see if men and women are treated differently online . What happened was unfortunately predictable ! An important reminder that gender bias should have no place in our game . #fresherfootball #Ad
England in a semi-final today, so it’s getting increasingly hard for some people to ignore the Women's World Cup.
But help is out there…

@heatherjayneSLT@RCSLT@TeamSLTCRH We would perhaps offer some quite generalised advice, IDDSI leaflets if needed (mainly for diet texture inspiration), suggestions around portion sizing & timing of meals etc. But we didn’t tend to have a prolonged role I would say. Mostly the medics and dietitians led from there
@heatherjayneSLT@RCSLT@TeamSLTCRH Yes it was an event hosted by @TUH_SLT - a couple of years ago now, included talks from SLTs researching the interaction between oesophageal and oropharyngeal dysphagia as well as lots of teaching on gastro conditions. Was great, I don’t know if there any plans for future ones.
@heatherjayneSLT@RCSLT@TeamSLTCRH I think that depends on both the experience/confidence of the SLT & the relationship with medics & gastro team. In a former trust I took all oesophageal pts & pts on gastro wards, plus did some external training on oesophageal dysphagia, so got more confident doing the former…
