The standing fire hydrant task works the hip in a multiplanar direction. It activates the glutes in three planes of motion: abduction, extension, and rotation. The exercise targets both the glutes and the core. Add a band around the knees for extra resistance! #glutes
Here is a useful superset for those lacking hip extension. Using a heavy band to self-mobilize the hip while moving in and out of a lunge followed by single leg glute bridges to reinforce hip extension. Try it out! #workout#superset
