Our VSU family & President @makolaabdullah congratulate Dr. Dietra Trent on her new appointment.
Thank you Dr. Trent for recognizing HBCUs as jewels in the crown of equity & achievement and for your long history of ensuring college access, success, & completion for generations.
Today a building in the Capitol Square was named the “Sargent Building” after VSU Alumni, Lieutenant Ruppert L. Sargent. Lt. Sargent, who was killed during the Vietnam War, was the first black officer to receive America’s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor. #GreaterAtVSU
