🚨 THE CLOCK IS TICKING
Governments can contain a riot.
They can deploy police.
They can make arrests.
What becomes far harder to contain is a growing belief among millions of people that nobody in power is listening.
From Belfast to Glasgow and beyond, the question is no longer whether there is public anger.
The question is how much further it spreads.
If the unrest fades, the government will claim victory.
If it continues to grow, this stops being a law-and-order issue and becomes a crisis of political legitimacy.
History shows that when governments lose the trust of the people, events can move very quickly.
The next few days may prove decisive.
YOU COULD NOT MAKE THIS UP IF YOU TRIED ......A Blackburn councillor who was fined for fly tipping a whole van load of his household rubbish at Witton Park in 2021 , has just been handed the enviromental porfolio, hes now responsible for fly tipping !! Hussain Akhtar got a £400 fine for doing his own dumping and now is in charge of enviromenatl matters !! Oh if you didnt laugh you would cry , this country is insane
Celtic to have 1000 tickets reduced at a home game (suspended until June 2028!!!) and fined £7500 for pitch invasion at Hearts game.
That’ll show them. What a punishment.
They throw around your money like it’s their own.
It’s a worthwhile cause, but John Swinney should withdraw this donation from the government, and instead donate a sum out of his OWN pocket.
If he does so, I’ll happily match whatever he personally donates.
🚨 Oh Wow! This is unbelievable!
The SPFL have grown a pair and hammered Celtic for the pitch invasion v Hearts 😱
A footballing body to be proud of and about bloody time.
I jest.
The SPFL, the Police and the Scottish government all came out strongly to condemn the scenes at Celtic Park.
The Police said:
“Policing has a strong part to play in football, but there is no doubt that accountability and ownership is lacking around football in Scotland.
"Disorder, violence and thuggery is unchecked and is allowed to be shrugged off.
There is an absolute necessity for the SFA and the SPFL to strengthen their regulatory framework around pitch invasions."
I think the Police will be hugely disappointed at today’s outcome.
The SPFL are as much use as a motor home parked outside your mother’s house for the last two years.
#Celtic #Hearts
@JohnSwinney And THIS is the John Swinney we warned the country about - an arrogant, out of touch, political chancer who'll always prioritise strangers over Scots.
Your support for mass migration has had consequences.
So, own up to it, John and stop deflecting.
Around £14 million to put unnecessary and useless cycle lanes in Byres Road Glasgow
Just so that a kebab shop can store its bins on it.
What a f..King shambles.
@HumzaYousaf Imagine having the audacity to suggest people shouldn’t be assessed on the colour of their skin after this speech serves as your legacy…
It is you contributed to the radicalisation of this country by demanding that people are constantly aware of the colour of their skin…
How is this any different to my angry tweet?
I don’t advocate anyone be arrested for words. I’m a free speech absolutist.
However I’m not down with the two tier society we find ourselves in.
Neither are most and it’s fuelling people’s anger.
This morning in Parliament, I was accosted by Lib Dem MP Angus MacDonald, who accused me and others of inciting violence. His aggressive approach and tone left me feeling threatened and shaken.
This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, especially from fellow MPs. We all have different views and should be able to disagree respectfully.
The Lib Dems support open borders, while Reform UK supports controlled immigration and putting the British people first.
That’s not inciting violence, that’s doing what’s best for the United Kingdom. 🇬🇧
