Today was my first day @Bayer4Crops as a Science Engagement Lead. Thanks to @achood4mu and her team for a warm welcome. I will work with scientists to cultivate understanding, increase dialogue, and amplify positive messages around sustainability and agricultural innovations.
Can we please hand all people entering airports headphones? Signed person super sensitive to all sounds. For example , the person playing a first-person shooter game with the sound on at the airport seems to be like an unacceptable choice.
@JessicaCalarco Thanks for your review of the movie. I also watched it over the New Year, and you verbalized some of the things I liked and didn't like about it. As you alluded to in your article, I would highly recommend reading the book. The ending and larger themes are different.
To all conference attendees everywhere, please never decline a mic. The loudness of a voice is not the only thing that makes it intelligible and so some of us cannot hear you regardless of how well you project.
This is my 11th year of tweeting this plea.

@Bali_Maha Thanks for sharing @Bali_Maha. I've had similar reactions when I receive emails from students I know well that are AI generated. It was a hurt feeling even though I know that was not their intent.
We can’t always leave a toxic situation, but when we do, it is not running away or quitting.
It is intentionally considering the options and choosing something better for yourself.
Meetings shouldn’t always be run by the leader. They should be guided by the best facilitator.
Too many bosses silence the room. Skilled facilitators amplify dissenting views and quiet voices.
A key to curbing groupthink is preventing powerful people from dominating discussions.
@emily_m_arndt This is currently my biggest annoyance in public spaces. Everywhere I go, and it's not even just kids. Why do people think this is ok????
