Here's something most restaurant owners don't know about online ordering, and it's costing them.
When a customer orders on your own website, Google sees that. The visit, the time on the page, someone actually placing an order, that's all activity happening on your domain. To Google, that's proof you're a real, active business worth showing to the next person who searches.
Now here's what happens with most "online ordering" tools. The customer clicks order, and they get sent off to the platform's own site to actually check out.
So all that activity, the traffic, the engagement, the order itself, builds the platform's domain. Not yours.

Over the past few weeks I've talked to a lot of restaurant owners, and the same justification keeps coming up for sticking with commission over a flat monthly fee:
"I only pay when I get an order."
So I ask them: isn't the goal to get more orders?
And if a flat monthly fee would cost you more than your commissions do, doesn't that mean the tool isn't doing its job? It's not growing your orders. It's just taking a cut of the ones you'd have gotten anyway.
Here's the thing. The world is online. Most customers, especially younger ones, check your website before they decide to eat with you. They look at the menu, and if they can place an order right there and skip the line, they will.
