23 June is the feast of St Etheldreda (Æthelthryth), abbess of Ely, who died in 679. One of the most important Anglo-Saxon female saints, she was the founder of a great Fenland abbey, which in death she fiercely guarded from Viking and Norman invaders. https://t.co/J502k6M0MQ

Defunding the arts will harm quality of life, exacerbate inequalities & set back economic recovery.
It will only make our problems worse.
