"China Will Rise When the Five Stars Appear in the East Together": A Blessing to the Silk Road From Thousands of Years Ago
Did you know? The Bakhtu Port in Tacheng City, #Xinjiang, has a history dating back more than 260 years—from civilian barter trade in 1764 (during the reign of Emperor Qianlong) to its formal establishment as a trade port in 1854. As one of the 18 national Category-I land ports in Xinjiang, Bakhtu Port serves as an important gateway for economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China, Central Asia, and Europe.
Today, the number of people and vehicles clearing customs at Bakhtu Port continues to grow, while clearance times are shorter, costs lower, and procedures more convenient.
According to statistics from the Bakhtu Border Inspection Station, as of June 16, 2025, the port has processed clearance for over 31,000 inbound and outbound travelers this year, up 183.18% year-on-year, and processed more than 33,000 inbound and outbound vehicles, an increase of 17.51% year-on-year.
To meet the special transportation needs of large cargo such as wind power equipment and engineering vehicles, the Bakhtu Border Inspection Station has opened a “Oversized Cargo Express Lane.” Tailored inspection plans are prepared in advance for oversized cargo to ensure efficient and rapid customs clearance.
Accordions are classified into four main types: button accordions, piano accordions, electronic accordions, and bandoneons. Want to see over 1,000 accordions from 10 different countries? Visit the Tacheng City Accordion Culture Museum for an immersive experience!

Are you ready to unlock the mystery box of China's treasures? The hidden experiences of Hubei are revealed!
While Western travelers are still checking off the usual sightseeing spots, seasoned explorers are already heading into the heart of China to discover a true treasure: Hubei. This destination is home to the birthplace of Jin Yong’s martial arts universe, immersive “script-kill” experiences centered on the epic Yangtze River culture, and even time-travel portals to the legendary battlefields of the Three Kingdoms era over 1,800 years ago. Today, we’re unveiling two must-try travel routes for you.
Route 1: “Mystic Wuxia” Eastern Fantasy Adventure
1. Shennongjia: Step into the mysterious zone along the 31°N latitude, hike through legends of wild men and ancient forests, and remember to lower your phone’s brightness — the starry skies here sparkle so brightly they feel unreal.
2. Wudang Mountain: Learn a tai chi routine amidst morning bells and evening snow. The sea of clouds at the Golden Summit will show you why this place is hailed as the pinnacle of the immortal world.
3. Three Gorges of the Yangtze River: Board a luxury cruise and experience the live version of “monkey calls from both shores.” When the cliffs suddenly resemble an ink painting, you’ll immediately understand why Li Bai wrote some of his most famous poems here.

4. Chibi (Red Cliffs) Battlefield: Stand on the actual site of the legendary "East Wind" scene and see how the heroes of the Three Kingdoms rewrote history with fire.
5. Hong’an: Explore the revolutionary spirit in China’s “County of Generals,” where every brick tells a vivid story from history.
6. Yellow Crane Tower: Climb this iconic landmark celebrated in Chinese poetry and watch the Yangtze River flow alongside blooming cherry blossoms. It’s easy to see why Li Bai and Cui Hao found endless inspiration here.

Transhumance is a rotational grazing method that drives livestock to areas with abundant forage as the seasons change. Every autumn in Xinjiang, a "transhumance blockbuster" is staged. Many people have been to the prairie, but few have seen herders' large-scale transhumance. Have you seen it? #China #Xinjiang #travel
