@mpershan I would say the label for all 3 examples is “teacher-centered instruction.” They are all just variations in how structured the activities are or how many chunks the period is broken down into.

Suburban NYC parents who hated remote leaving rejoiced over their kids’ snow day on Friday. NYC parents who hated remote learning kept their kids home even though school was open. I think this shows the “keep school open no matter what” policy doesn’t work.

How many more students need to stay home before ⁦⁦@NYCMayor⁩ gets that #RemoteOption is needed? More than half the system was absent today, & STILL there were 9.5K COVID cases ⁦⁦@NYCSchools⁩. There’s no good reason for not switching to remote. This has to stop.

In case anyone needs to hear it- the COVID numbers you’re seeing are likely massively undercounted. Consider all the rapid tests being done at home (meaning, not reported) and hurdles getting confirmatory PCRs tests. Please stay safe folks 😷
