@Corbienest Fellllllt I once had to go when I was working a movie set and couldn’t explain we were building a futuristic water delivery contraption that would be controlled from a bracelet
An important lesson from Alysa Liu's story is that you can be burnt down, worn out, take a step back and heal, and come back to both enjoy what you do and kick ass at it.
the olympics can try but they won’t top the gala from europeans 2024 where they had a live orchestra providing musical accompaniment for a minions exhibition
Going from 3 straight Eteri girls to Alysa. When she was mean to be a skater in that exact mold, but rejected it. To have an Olympic Champion who doesn’t starve herself, dyes her hair how she wants, and skates truly for love of game. Women’s figure skating isn’t dead after all.
I’ve become fascinated by Alysa Liu’s story from a sports psychology lens. I’m not sure I’ve seen a talented young athlete completely rid themselves of external pressures and attain the level of athletic & artistic freedom she has. This woman is a mental Goliath.
figure skating gets attention for the most bizarre array of things such as tragedy, violence, judging scandal, homework extension, intimate hug, backflip, minion
I got #SuryaBonaly on the phone to clear up the backflip controversy. While she is a pioneer, she is not the originator (spoke to him, too). This story is about race, culture, and defiance in #figureskating. #olympics2026. Please check it: https://t.co/AUVWCJPg0c
“We're going out there and performing as athletes. It just feels like a cash grab for different companies, and it's really upsetting that they can't appreciate that their music has inspired something creative.”
