CHEN became world famous as the main Vocalist of the top-selling legendary Group #EXO who paved the way for many. He has one amazing voice and has contributed greatly to the group's global success! In October 2016, with #Baekhyun & #Xiumin, CHEN became a member of Exo's first sub unit #ExoCBX. The group made their debut with the chart topping EP 'Hey Mama!'. CHEN is also a hugely successful Solo Artist in his own right, and in July 2014, he released his first solo song "The Best Luck" an original soundtrack to the SBS drama I't's Okay, That's Love', starring EXO member #DO and won the award for "Best OST by a Male Artist" and "Best OST Song" at the 5th So-Loved Awards and the 16th Seoul International Youth Film Festival. In 2019, he debuted officially as a solo Artist with the EP 'April, and a Flower' which topped the Worldwide & European iTunes Album charts & peaked at No. 2 on the Gaon Album Chart in Korea. It spawned the hit single "Beautiful Goodbye". His 2nd EP, 'Dear My Dear' powered by the hit "Shall We?" was released later that same year and also topped the Worldwide & European iTunes Album charts and went to #1 on iTunes in 36 countries, debuting at #1 on the Gaon Album chart! On November 14, 2022 CHEN released his 3rd EP, 'Last Scene which topped the Worldwide & European iTunes Album charts and debuted at No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart in Korea with over 85,000 copies sold in its debut week! In 2023, CHEN released his 1st Japan Mini album "Polaris' which debuted at #1 on the Worldwide & European iTunes Album Charts! CHEN joined Baekhyun's label, INB100, in January 2024 to manage his solo activities, and released his 4th EP 'Door' on May 28, 2024, which topped the Worldwide & European iTunes Charts and debuted at #4 on the circle Albums chart, powered by its hit single "Empty"!

CHEN has also recorded songs for various television dramas, including "Best Luck" for 'It's Okay, That's Love' (2014) and "Everytime" for 'Descendants of the Sun' (2016).

CHEN is also a very successful songwriter, having written several songs for EXO and many of his own songs! In 2017 he co-wrote the lyrics for the tracks "Touch It" and "Ko Ko Bop" from EXO's 4th studio album, 'The War'. In December, CHEN wrote the lyrics for "Lights Out" from EXO's EP 'Universe', which he performed alongside fellow members #Suho, Baekhyun, and D.O. In 2018, CHEN & #Chanyeol co-wrote "Love Shot", the title track from the reissued edition of EXO's 5th studio album, 'Don't Mess Up My Tempo'!

CHEN is also a very talented actor, and in August 2015, he made his musical theatre debut playing the role of Benny in the SM C&C production 'In the Heights'. He also participated in and became the runner-up in the eleventh round of the music television show King of Mask Singer under the alias "Legendary Guitar Man".

CHEN has won several accolades including 'Best OST by a male Artist for "Best Luck" in 2014 at the 16th Seoul International Youth Film Festival! In 2017 he won 2 Awards with Dynamic Group for "Nosedive", including 'Best Collab' at the 19th MAMA awards both in 2017 and 'Best Rap/Hip Hop Award' at the 9th MelOn Music Awards! In 2019 he won the 'TOP 10 Asia-Pacific Gold Song of the Year' at the Annual Fresh Asia Music Awards and in 2020 he was honoured with the Male Vocalist Award at the Korea First Brand Awards. In 2022, his song "Last Scene" won Top 20 Songs of the Year at the Asian Pop Music Awards!

CHEN is also a philanthropist and in January 2016, performed John Lennon's song "Imagine" with pianist Steve Barakatt at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, as part of UNICEF's "Imagine Project."
