A couple of 🏀🤓📝 from @usabjnt U17 trials session 1.
Best eval setting of the year for the national level players. Accountability of cuts makes a huge difference in the mindset of the elite.
2027 @SCNext #3 ranked/@LSUwbkb commit Caroline Bradley’s growth/comfortability is terrific to watch. Best player and leader of session 1 in my view - felt like a captain.
2027 @scnext #35 ranked Ashley MacCalla looks to be the most improved player over the course of the last year+. I initially had the thought coming out of @NikeGirlsEYBL New Orleans last week and watched it continue in today’s morning seasion. She is so much more comfortable with her perimeter shooting to compliment being possibly the best pure athlete in the national class.
I thought the bigs (Bradley & Eve Long in particular) were a little ahead of the guards in terms of effectiveness.
Hitting open shots, being decisive (and not overdoing it) offensively, ability to guard without fouling while communicating on both ends will be the major keys (as always).
U17 world competiton is generally much harder than the U16 America’s competition that the trials were held for this group last year. Meaning the details and connectivity of the team is doubley important.

The 5 ⭐️ Ram was 7.3 good enough for a Top 15 spot in her age group.
