Modernists use it as a cudgel to shut down the Latin Mass as the boogy man. Also you're Orthodox, you wouldn't want either Mass because you have to argue they both teach error.

Otherwise the way I made sense of it, is that if you were on a stranded Island what can you do as a laity without a Priest. Baptistism and Marriage. People outside the church are on an isolated island of ignorance in a sense.

@BasedMikeLee I truly believe the Holy Spirit works amongst the Mormons and they are very nice people, but its pretty clear. Galatians 1:8 "But even if we, or an angel from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let that one be accursed!"
