The Museum Mile Festival is a free annual event where several museums open their doors for the evening along this stretch of 5th Avenue, between 82nd and 105th. No cars are allowed, so the festival becomes a walker's paradise with many other attractions such as street musicians, art-related activities for children, food vendors, and more.
