#TembisaHospitalCapture| SIU SECURES CONTEMPT AND SEIZURE ORDERS AGAINST OMAR MOTOR DEN FOR SELLING BENTLY LINKED TO MORGAN MAUMELA
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has obtained two orders from the Special Tribunal against Omar Motor Den in Emalahleni: one for contempt of court and another for the seizure of a Bentley Continental GT linked to procurement irregularities at Tembisa Hospital.
James, there was a plan to transform the 10000 apartheid migrant hostel rooms into family dwellings over 10 years. Your party abandoned that plan.
Pointing to the same project over and over again doesn’t address my criticism: Helen Zille went to a hostel in Alex, Joburg, and criticized the terrible living conditions.
She was in government here in Cape Town, Western Cape, for 13 years & what she’s criticizing in Joburg she failed to fix when she had to budget, the power and the majority government to do so:
At almost every DA Cape Metro Regional Council meeting there was a DA Branch Member from Langa who would plead for help at the hostel he lived in. His pleas received platitudes and deaf ears.
Pick the date & time and I will go with you to see the hostels Helen Zille, and the DA governments, failed to fix in Cape Town.
🔴WTF
These taxi owners shoot an E-hailing car because it has passengers and assault the driver with guns these criminals must be found in that KZN Ndengezi village
@SAPoliceService@CrimeWatch_RSA arrest these criminals now 🤧🤧
Cape Town is NOT for sale!
If Cape Town had an inclusionary housing policy, the foreshore land could benefit some of the over 20 thousand City of Cape Town working class employees that have to spend up to 40% of their income on transport to get here.

Cape Town’s population and racial breakdown:
Black African - 45%
Coloured - 35%
White - 16%
Western Cape population and racial breakdown:
Coloured - 46%
Black African - 36%
White - 15%
So diverse the DA that it couldn’t find one Black African candidate in the Western Cape 🤷🏾♂️
Why do North African teams always play continental final second legs at home??
🇿🇦 Pirates vs Ahly 🇪🇬 - 2013
🇿🇦 Sundowns vs Zamalek 🇪🇬 - 2016
🇿🇦 Chiefs vs Ahly 🇪🇬 - 2021
🇿🇦 Pirates vs RS Berkane 🇲🇦 - 2022
🇿🇦 Sundowns vs Pyramids 🇪🇬 - 2025
🇿🇦 Sundowns vs AS FAR 🇲🇦 - 2026
🤔🤔🤔
The DA will say that this means nothing. Oh but it does in an election where every single vote and seat counts towards numbers in coalitions. The target is (moderate) middle class black voters, and undecided black middle class voters now have viable options not ANC. With that an Mashaba, their margins have decreased.
The Democratic Alliance has built much of its political identity around the claim that it governs better, manages institutions more effectively, and appoints “exceptional” ministers and administrators. Yet Kirstenbosch falls directly under the national Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment; a “DA-led” ministry since June 2024 - first under the DA’s Dion George and now under the DA’s Willie Aucamp.

What’s going on?
Questions to MECs published today @WCProvParl:
1. A study conducted by @WesternCapeGov found indigent relief is not sufficient & recommends increased support. But the report has not been released. Can we have it?
2. Decommissioned GF Jooste Hospital was a major blunder. Serving a community ravaged by extreme violence it had a top notch trauma unit. It’s been gone 12 years & now we’re told to wait til 2033. But what happened to the R4.3bn allocated to building the new hospital?
3. Housing lost another R300m due to under performance. The WCG declared a “intergovernmental dispute”…how’s that going? Will we get the money back for those houses we desperately need?
Today the DA-led City of Cape Town and Western Cape Government are in the Constitutional Court, challenging the Public Procurement Act. Last week, Solidariteit ran to the UN to oppose racial redress.
Different stages, same playbook: resisting diversity, equity and inclusion, at taxpayers’ expense. We cannot afford to re-litigate apartheid’s impacts while millions still wait for justice.

Questions are mounting over whether South Africans and the media apply the same standards to scandals involving the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African National Congress (ANC). https://t.co/UdaLrfknfO
SOUTH AFRICA IS NOW THE WORLD’S LEADING CITRUS EXPORTER.
South Africa has overtaken Spain and is now the world's leading exporter by volume.
Citrus is the leading agricultural export product, accounting for 17% of South Africa’s agricultural exports of US$15.1 billion in 2025.
Congratulations to Mayor Mamdani. He inherited a huge budget deficit, brought it down to zero, and still invested in childcare, housing and city infrastructure.
When municipal governments stand with working families, not billionaires, there is nothing they cannot accomplish.
GOOD is the only political party that took this matter beyond the Council chamber to court, at significant cost.
It did so because the unlawful tariff scheme targeted groups of people for extra payments they simply cannot afford, including those who have inherited property or whose property values have escalated exponentially due to gentrification or development.
If the Mayor were allowed to charge residents whatever he wishes, it would effectively force members of these groups to consider downgrading their accommodation – the diametric opposite of development.
