I was invited to talk about the UK's Freeports and Special Economic Zones with @crispinflintoff on his Youtube Channel. The public is not yet aware of what these free zones will do to the UK economy and public infrastructure despite billions in State aid (public money) being pumped into them, relaxed laws means relaxed enforcement of laws where companies can 'self-regulate' inside the zones, if you thought the water companies were bad, wait til zone fever takes hold, the UK is being privatised.

@NationCymru So, the only Plaid Cymru MP to criticise carbon capture supports nuclear power.
No one seems to be taking the coherent position of being against both carbon capture and nuclear.

Independent researcher and campaigner @Andrew9Boswell from @NotZeroTeesside dismissed the government investment as a "massive giveaway to the fossil fuel industry" and a "bad decision" for energy billpayers, energy security and the planet. 🧵

@The_CCSA@EastCluster@hynet Blue Hydrogen isn't 'low carbon' hydrogen. Here's why (part 2).
This article by @KevinClimate and @SiOldridge shows why the UKs 'Low Carbon Hydrogen Standard' is deeply flawed and tantamount to greenwash.

@The_CCSA@EastCluster@hynet Blue Hydrogen isn't 'low carbon' hydrogen. Here's why (part 1).
Blue Hydrogen is more greenhouse gas intensive than burning the methane directly.

Super informative, funny and savage takedown of the "carbon capture and storage" con, a non-solution to the #ClimateEmergency which just funnels more money into Big Oil's pockets - by @thejuicemedia, the good people who make these Honest Government Ads

Starmer's creating a £22 billion black hole today. It's called investment in carbon capture and storage. This is an unproven technology whose only purpose is to permit fossil fuel to still be burned. And he's fallen for it. Is that foolishness, stupidity or corruption in play?
Another carbon capture and storage failure.

I fully and unconditionally support Iran's legal right of self defence.
And the right of the states of Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Palestine to self defence.
This tweet does not support or encourage support for any proscribed organisation.
Lot of ass-saving spin going on right now claiming wild successes downing Iranian missiles, contra all the videos we've seen. Billions of dollars in missile defense systems contracts at stake if it the Arrow and Iron Dome systems failed as badly as videos show.

The scenes from Lebanon of entire families being massacred in their homes, just as in Gaza, underscores the pure irredeemable evil of Zionism and the necessity of the eradication of this racist, colonial genocidal American-European ideology from this region.
BREAKING 🚨 Labour just gave a TOP government JOB to someone from its £4m hedge fund donor, Quadrature
Well spotted, @MichaelLCrick. Starmer's new climate envoy was also co-chair of Quadrature's foundation. @MrTopple wonders what else £4m buys you... 👇

Interesting. Labour's new climate envoy Rachel Kyte is co-chair of climate advisory board of Quadrature Climate Foundation, linked to Quadrature hedge fund based in the Cayman Islands which invests in fossil fuel firms. Quadrature gave Labour £4m on 28 May, at the start of the election campaign, a fact which only emerged a week ago: https://t.co/eAkTS6JHXx
Quadrature Capital are major backers of Mark Lynas' WePlanet / RePlanet NGO
The ideology they promote is #Ecomodernism, which fetishises tech-solutions to climate change, whilst downplaying the wider phenomenon of ecological overshoot @GMWatch@Beyond_GM

@EJShone93 Monbiot, Ecomodernism and the Pritzkers.
The significance of this donation and the prominence of Ecomodernism is a very alarming trend.
A lot of people are still confused and don't understand the significance of these interests that are aligning.
