@jenstridonkai Outside a religious centre during drop-off on their biggest event of the year, so very misleading. Same roads very quiet later in the day even with school pickup time approaching.
“Sent to us today”. As you know @BetterEaling@whyteshome this is just outside a major Hindu temple, *at Diwali*. Nearby roads eg Culmington are quiet.
Will you withdraw this misleading vid, which misappropriates a major ethnic event? @_petermason@deirdrecostigan@JasbirAnand2
@Jontafkasi @EalingOne Here’s the same area post-event but at school going-home time the same day. You can monitor it yourself a few days in a row, if you like: https://t.co/l2gSCCV02g
@Jontafkasi @EalingOne Thanks for the invitation, but already have. Video was during drop-off outside a Hindu temple on the biggest religious event of the year: even Google Maps notes it as unusual.

I follow a lot of people & I’ve no idea what Richard’s LTN politics are, but either way this just *has* to be a totally incontrovertible statement.
Strange seeing ourselves on TV today. We hope @BBC viewers will join us in changing things to protect children of London & the UK.
Let's end the LTN experiment that pushes traffic onto our most polluted roads, poisoning the kids at greatest risk of asthma & stunted lung growth.🙏🏾
@EyeEaling@Kath1109@BetterEaling@whyteshome@_petermason@deirdrecostigan@JasbirAnand2 St John's Church, in the video, is also the home of a very busy vaccination centre that has been operating throughout & continues to be busy. Its a 1 off & this area has improved dramatically since the removal of the ridiculously thought out & implemented without cause LTN.
I have kindly asked medics to have conversations with families who are frequent visitors to paediatric A&E for respiratory illnesses. Do they live near busy rds? Mould in their houses? Indoor air pollution? So much education yet to be had.
@LoveRat15@D123Natasha@Bobby6817@BetterEaling Comment on this please, Lew? It’s Diwali after all.
If you’re local, what say you post a video from the same place, same time, same day, next week?
@JhnTzr@BetterEaling So your point was, what exactly?
You connected the impact of a transient annual religious event to the removal of LTNs in general.
Feel free to explain the connection.
@FreshAirLondon@BetterEaling@LittleNinjaUK@ediz1975 So being concerned about *actual* harm to children & overall CO2/pollutant impact rather than a standard “here’s a propaganda shot of a child on a tricycle” is “nasty”, is it?
If that’s who you are, then fine.
@Prehistory This is an incredibly unfair comment, Christopher.
Going by Twitter, it should be “John, John, John, John, John, John-from-Scotland, John-from-Distant-Cycling-Club, Eccentric-Two-Cars-John-up-the-road-whose-wife-&-kids-laugh-at-him, & their Wandsworth friend Janet-sorry-Jo”.
Croydon Council plans to push ahead with ANPR. Albert Rd area = 69% - 79% opposed. Holmesdale Rd area = 71 % - 84% opposed. Residents again ignored in favour of small group of divisive & well connected pro “LTN” campaigners. Is this ok @SteveReedMP?
And currently being bullied by a local Councillor for having the temerity to allow someone else to display a poster in the window on a blameless traffic topic. Really sinister, undemocratic thought control.
Does @GaryChadwicks do online? I’ll order from him if so.
@FreshAirLondon@BetterEaling@LittleNinjaUK@ediz1975 Nothing: I live in one. I’m just not so a selfishly hypocrital as to delude myself that a few less cars/hr + a smug idiot up the road tweeting his 4yr-old on a tricycle in mid-road with delivery vans & bin lorries round the corner, is worth the added CO2/main road impact.
You?
