🔴The Israeli army issues a vague threat to forcibly displace people in the Christian quarter of Tyre, Lebanon
This is a blatant lie to forcibly displace the residents of the Christian quarter in Tyre. I have been staying in this area since I was forcibly displaced from my apartment in Tyre.
The area is full of displaced people sleeping in their cars and in tents on the beach.
To the Christians all over the world: do you understand now that Israel is not your friend? If you didn’t learn during the genocide in Gaza, do you get it now?
Tyre - a 5,000-year-old Phoenician city-kingdom and home to UNESCO World Heritage sites - is facing systematic destruction under relentless Israeli airstrikes.

Today is Martyrs' Day in Lebanon, once an official holiday, long cancelled by a petty politician.
Not everyone who dies is a martyr. Take a moment to remember & honor those who sacrificed for this country, and journalists who sacrificed in pursuit of free speech. #NeverForget
Families of the Beirut port explosion victims held their monthly vigil on Monday, May 4, calling on the Cassation Courts to rule on the cases pending before them against Judge Tarek Bitar. In a statement, the families condemned any attempt to “turn the Beirut port case into a forgotten file, reduce the victims' blood to mere formalities, or hold justice hostage to political calculations.”
They also called for lifting “all immunities protecting those involved, whoever they may be, and for the full truth to be revealed,” and condemned the international community’s silence over the crime, describing it as “indirect complicity in covering up the truth.”
Since the 40s, the South of Lebanon has been conceived as a battlefield, both in times of war and in times of peace.
In the aftermath of the July 2006 war, reconstruction itself has been framed as a form of victory over Israel… a reality
Israel evidently struggled to accept…. Hence, the systematic destruction of Southern villages….
Israeli invaders crushed an ambulance with a bulldozer in South Lebanon, then posted it online like a trophy.
Israel literally celebrates its war crimes publicly.
No shame. No accountability. No consequences.
Day 10 of the ceasefire…
This ends my coverage of the first ten days of the so-called ceasefire, which as someone out there said, means that Lebanon ceases and Israel continues fire…
Satellite images taken on April 14 show widespread devastation in the center of Bint Jbeil, suggesting burnings and systematic destruction. By April 23, the images show that what remained of buildings and structures had been completely razed to the ground.
Analysis by CNN found that hundreds of buildings, most of them residential homes, were either completely destroyed or rendered uninhabitable. Images and videos captured after the ceasefire announcement on April 16 also show that demolition continued, with bulldozers and armored vehicles operating in the area.
Recently published images indicate that Israel has adopted a scorched-earth policy in southern Lebanon, following a pattern similar to what occurred in the Gaza Strip, including the targeting of vital infrastructure and healthcare facilities, as well as journalists.
On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces killed Amal Khalil, Al-Akhbar’s correspondent in South Lebanon, in a direct strike in the village of Tayri in the Bint Jbeil district. How was the assassination carried out, and why did they want to silence “the South’s correspondent”?
Our colleague Amal Khalil, a brave reporter who has been covering Israeli attacks on Lebanon for the past years was targeted along another colleague Zeinab Faraj while doing their job in south Lebanon. Emergency services succeeded in rescuing Zeinab with injuries along with two casualties. Amal is still under rubble, the Red Cross tried to get closer, yet another Israeli attack pushed them back.
