I got detained by Iraqi police at a remote checkpoint who called special tactical regiment.

They said it’s too dangerous to walk this road at night due to gangs of dogs and Isis. I responded by saying I didn’t know there was any jews in Iraq.

They laughed.

Eventually they realised I was cool and gave me a ride back to my hotel saying I should wait on some permits tomorrow from the intelligence agency.

They kindly gave me a cigarette and said welcome to Iraq. They were very cool. Thank you lads for the ride! 🇮🇶
