I don’t know why Obidients cannot just learn to ignore these igiots in the opposition who are using them to chase clout, show working to their paymasters, get views, and get paid by Twitter at the same time.

I understand the urge to reply and correct the narrative, but what many people don’t understand is that online attention is oxygen. Whether you are dragging them or correcting them, you are still feeding their reach.

Their paymasters don’t read your comments. What they look at is account analytics. Your dragging pushes their numbers high. It increases their visibility, improves their reach, and makes them more valuable to the same people paying them to spread nonsense.

So while you think you are fighting them, you are actually helping them earn more from their political paymasters and from the social media platforms they are using.

This is how you people made Reno Omokri an ambassador and Daniel Bwala a high-level aide to the president. You kept feeding them attention until their noise became political value.

If you must respond to their tweet, screenshot it and make your own post. Stop feeding their original post with free engagement.

The post in the screenshot is a typical example. That girl lives in Europe. I strongly believe she knows the post she made is false, but she made it anyway because she knew it would trigger Obidients. And you people gave her over 100k views in just a few hours.

Her analytics will show great numbers, and she will benefit from your dragging. So how do you expect her to stop posting lies against Peter Obi when she knows those lies will keep making her popular?

The same thing applies to entering their stupig spaces.

While you think you are there to debunk their narratives, you are also making their spaces appear on the timelines of your followers. You are helping them reach people they could not have reached on their own. And when you leave, your followers who went there because of you may not leave with you. One by one, they will start planting ideas in the heads of your followers.

There is also a psychological danger in constantly listening to nonsense. When people hear rubbish repeatedly, especially when it is packaged with confidence, some of them may start treating it like a reasonable argument.

You do not defeat propaganda by feeding it attention.

Sometimes, the best response is to starve it. And if you must respond, screenshot it and respond in your own post. You owe your followers that protection from consuming nonsense content.
