First time I went for Locum post HJ and the case I admitted was severe malaria. Child was unconscious and having seizures with a crazy temperature.

I thought it was UCTH and immediately documented “admit patient”. It was after admission and the other team members on duty that night were complaining that it was a bad case that I realized in PP you avoid bad cases. I spent the whole night praying for that child to not spoil my first night in that facility.

God answered my prayers through Artesunate mehnn. Child was well and discharged with everyone acting shocked. I was like c’mon it’s malaria and we chew it with Artesunate without thinking twice.
