@ryangerritsen SIMP — an internet slang term used to describe someone—typically a man—who shows excessive attention or submissiveness to a romantic interest, often in hopes of winning their affection. It implies that the person is trying too hard and compromising their dignity or self-respect.

@ShaneWenzel The motivation behind changing Fort Calgary's name to The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland is clear. As per its website: "We are freer to expand the narrative of this place" and
"storytelling is liberated." Hmmm. Fort Calgary at Confluence Park would have been so much better.
@ShaneWenzel Thanks for this fair and balanced critique of Coyne’s piece. Really well stated. The failure of the majority of Cdn opinion writers to strive toward fairness/balance in their analysis of issues of the day is a major problem. It does nothing but add fuel to the fire of division.
@nspector4 Carney is too clever by half. That said, nice to have a PM deliver a speech well without the pretentious, affected manner of his predecessor.
@nspector4 Used to enjoy @kinsellawarren takes. But his predilection for peppering political punditry with profanity (in an unthinking knee jerk kinda way) became too much. Once a punk always a punk I suppose.
