@FishyGuyOleH Density dependent processes are by definition the result of population density, which is typically SSB for fish stocks. Could be also total stock biomass, cohort abundance or any other density measure, though..

@FishyGuyOleH This might be possible but would of course require that the cumulative effects of growth outweigh those of recruitment, which seems unlikely in the long run. But that's a very interesting question that should be studied in detail!

Nearly 30 years after fishing and scientific surveys stopped, @Havforskningen maps for the first time again the distribution of Iceland Scallops (Chlamus islandica) with video and dredges in the Svalbard area. Did they recover? Could the fishery be reopened? Soon we will know!
