FAAN SET TO TRANSFORM DOMESTIC AIR TRAVEL WITH V-PASS FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM

The new biometric facial recognition system will make passenger processing faster, safer, and more seamless across FAAN-managed domestic airports.

With a simple one-time enrolment, passengers can verify their identity through facial recognition, reducing reliance on physical ID documents, enhancing security, and shortening queues through automated e-Gates.

Built with data privacy at its core and compliant with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), V-Pass is another step in FAAN's commitment to delivering smarter, technology-driven airport services.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive (FAAN), Mrs Olubunmi Kuku ably represented by the Director of Human Resources and Administration, Dr. Emiola Lukman, today received the delegation of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) on a courtesy visit to the Authority’s Headquarters, reaffirming FAAN’s commitment to human capital development, professional excellence, and organizational growth.

During the meeting, Dr. Lukman reiterated FAAN’s commitment to continuous staff development and highlighted the Authority’s achievements in airport infrastructure, safety and security, customer service, and operational excellence.

The @cipmnigeria delegation, led by its Registrar/Chief Executive, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, commended FAAN for its continued support of the Institute’s programmes and explored opportunities for deeper collaboration in capacity building, professional certification, and participation in the 2026 International Conference and Exhibition (ICE).

The visit concluded with both organizations reaffirming their commitment to strengthening their partnership through continuous learning, capacity building, and the advancement of professional standards.
