And probs the most silly
I simply cannot for the life of me remember the floodgate effects of RS and B2B and always fail to use them effectively or account for them in the mirror.
The main areas I need to work on
I still think too much in the moment itself and wing where my lines take me even when uninterrupted.
Going for reframing but not even knowing whether I'll have a mix on board to make B2B after is not acceptable.
The Branded/Sky Striker matchup remains rough, but especially the Branded one is ultimately manageable, and I'd rather struggle through that matchup than simply roll dice vs Power Patron without HTs.
For now I am mainly considering KT still as my deck for EUWCQ.
At the moment, pseudo-ftk style strategies appear to be rising and with decks like Black Chaos and Blitzclique that have strong engines going second, I don't have any reason to believe that trend will stop.
I tend to prefer engine-heavy decks cause the last few formats those have felt like the ones that give me the most agency, but every time I return to HT decks and use HTs more efficiently than the last time is very satisfying.
Kewl Tune has been teaching me quite a few things I've been slacking on in general in terms of playing ygo correctly.
Like I was (am?) embarrassingly bad at keeping track of known cards and such and KT has made me think about how to improve that.
Little aids like trying to remember them as categories, for example "I know they have 3 engine, 2 non-engine", makes it a lot easier to pick up on whether I'm forgetting stuff. I'll assess I'll have checked X amount of cards in one category and realize the count doesn't add up.
I hate saying I lost without agency cause it feels like an excuse but what do you call it when you open cue, reco, kts, crow, playlist into imperm, impulse, cbtg, gas, gas, gas vs someone who thinks you can chainblock imperm
18th (neuron numbers bugged) at Belgian Nats out of 260, p disappointed, one loss to someone rushing me into making misplays, my own fault still, other 3 losses were entirely out of my control, still, won every other game where I had control including two of the peeps in top 4
RIP to @Cimoooooooo , progression series and history of ygo were a big part of how I got back into yugioh.
Absolute heartbreaker to hear the news after everything he went through.
