In these strange times it's amazing how excited you can be with a delivery of fresh fruit and veg!! Huge thanks to @angliaproduce our local supplier for looking after us during #lockdown
Love the start of spring bumblebees starting on their search for food and nests. Sadly all I can hear is lawn mowers killing the very flowers these beautiful creatures need to survive. If you really believe in #savethebees then please let the #wildflowers grow
Excited to see how our wild birds like their new @Vinehousefarm bird food. Our friendly Robin was waiting for lunch as i filled feeders ππ Also love the fact they support @WildlifeTrusts The blue tits and sparrows will have had a good feed today
Our kitchen/unit is in a converted barn as part of our wildlife area we asked or landlord/farmer if we could create a herb garden down the length of our unit. We get lots of herbs and nature get's lot's of insect friendly plants. Our pallets come from our charcoal deliveries.
I wondered where the bees were getting the pollen and then I looked closely at the blossom and saw this little bee at work. I then realised there must have been a hundred bees from our honey bees to bumblebees and I am assume lot's of solitary bees. Love #nature
This beauty landed at my feet this afternoon in Wix. Obviously found a good source of early pollen. Which is great news. Craig said our bees returning to the hives had the same pollen. #SaveTheBees
So I have spent last month digging out by hand (shovel) our latest and largest pond. My plan was add pond lining and wait for rains in Autumn to fill but Mother #nature had other plans. I arrived this morning to see this πΈπΈπΈ@EssexWildlife@essexecoman
Put our bird boxes up two days ago and had our first visitor today. Hopefully we will have a first time buyer :) Came back again later!!! Box is close to pond so has a great view and is close to feed station so bird restaurants close by #nature
Fabulous BBQ are creating a wildlife area at our unit with bees, birds, plenty of insects and ponds to help our amphibian friends. We have a dedicated Twitter feed Beeing Fabulous @BeeingF with the latest news and happenings in our wildlife area. Please follow and support to help
So today was all about cooking whole chickens on our Brazilian rotisserie just a trail run today as we have a client who wants whole chickens for their event. Chicken was delicious and very moist. All in all a good day in the sun. Love my job ππ#BBQ#events
In the autumn we planted the area on the left with bluebells, snowdrops and wild garlic on the right daffodils ready for the spring. We are now scattering Seedballs @seed_ball ready for an explosion of wildflowers this summer #nature#savethebees
