Dear @CallofDuty ,
The game is no longer fun.
We are tired of being told one thing, only to discover that the carefully worded announcement meant the exact opposite. Every matchmaking update is presented like you are finally giving players something we have begged for over the last several years, but once we actually play, the experience somehow feels even more restrictive.
At the top end of matchmaking, proximity chat is practically nonexistent. You cannot casually play with friends outside your skill bracket without someone having a miserable experience. I can only imagine how many longtime online friendships and gaming groups have slowly fallen apart because the system refuses to let people simply enjoy the game together.
Then there is the cheating problem.
At the top of these matchmaking brackets, it feels like there are multiple cheaters in nearly every lobby. Yesterday, I spent ten straight games walking around aimlessly and firing into the air, just to see whether the matchmaking would loosen its grip.
In game eleven, I was killed by a four-stack of Iridescent players.
In public matches.
It feels like pubs is just ranked play without the rewards.
If I were @InfinityWard, I would be watching how badly @Treyarch is damaging player trust and addressing it publicly. Creators and everyday players still have not pre-ordered the next game, major competition is approaching, and the writing is already on the wall.
For too long, Call of Duty has operated like a company more concerned with extracting every possible dollar from its customers than understanding what those customers actually want.
InfinityWard, do not let that become your legacy.
You are the better studio. You always have been. Prove it.
It is also time for the community to stop blindly trusting opinions from people who receive exclusive access, private events, early builds, and special treatment. Whether those opinions are directly influenced or not, the relationship creates an obvious conflict that players are right to question.
If Call of Duty truly wanted to prove it was listening, players would not need to jump through hoops or pre-order the game just to test it during the beta.
An open beta should actually be open to everyone.
No purchase required.
Just let the players play, and let the game speak for itself.

I feel Ricochet is Vaporware. Deceptive marketing, not real. Since adding nuke contracts back the number of hackers are unreal.
