@Ryan_Daigler True. My mother scapegoated my brother before he was born and this went on until she died. After her death, my dad said to me, "Your brother was an a**h*le the day we brought him home from the hospital." Sure thing, Pops. Enjoy your Kool-Aid.
@sus_jac Were we neighbors growing up? π Jokes aside, glad the both of us are figuring it out. Earlier would have been better, but now is better than never. π
@Brandi_Buchman He's a narcissist, so we'll never really know his motivation (they lie about everything). But, like all things with narcs, his actions are driven by shame. My guess is that he doesn't want to be compared to her previous co-stars.
@Theholisticpsyc This matches my experience. I was a terrible insomniac by the time I was 12. Not because I couldn't sleep, but because the only safe time in my home was when everybody else was sleeping.
@sus_jac So true. I once read a post that said something like, "The people that claimed I didn't deserve help are the people that demanded I help them." π―
@egavactip "I cannot recall a time when.. gaslighting.. has gone mainstream."
Such is life with narcissists. π It's good to read a factual response to all this ridiculousness, though.
