Prof John Henry Speaks on the yoruba influence on black revolution, slave rebelliond and liberation fights in the Americas.
The Yoruba Wars in West Africa were a major source of captives who were sold into slavery, creating a direct link between the Yoruba homeland and the slave populations in the Americas where their cultural influence was then felt.
The Yoruba people had a significant influence on slave rebellions in the Americas. The shared experiences and cultural heritage of Yoruba people in the Americas helped to create a sense of ethnic solidarity that fueled a spirit of resistance against the slave system.
The Yoruba diaspora brought their religious traditions, such as Vodou in Haiti, which served as a unifying force and a source of resistance against the injustices of slavery.
The Yoruba unwillingness to let go their culture and roots in Africa allowed them rise up against slavery. The Yoruba is one of the greatest ethnic groups in Africa. No group in Nigeria can compare to the Yoruba race.
So when you see Yoruba people fight and resist the attempt, to steal our culture and history, know that we have a reason for doing so.
And if slavery and colonization could not break us or destroyed our culture, to our enemies, know you don't stand a chance.
THIS IS A MUST WATCH DOCUMENTARY NIGERIANS. 📌
BRUH, Nigeria is clearly at fracture point and i don’t even know what to say and how to feel anymore.
After seeing this, you might become more sad.
Financial Dealings from OBASANJO’s Administration down to APC.
My mum gave one Lady a dress some days ago
The lady wore the dress to the house the next day and started turning around displaying the dress and thanking my mum
When the lady left
My mum said “this is the beginning of things I’ll start giving this lady”

I met someone here on Twitter. He was frustrated that he couldn't get a job in construction despite solid experience in Nigeria. I heard of a job opening, and I shared it with him.
The manager didn't check his CV, he said,"If he is from Ade, he must be very good." Our brother has moved from that job to one of the biggest projects in Europe.
Networking can open doors. Don't stop asking for opportunities. The Nos do not matter. One Yes will change the story🙏
It does not matter who won the #NigerianElections2023. It could have been Waziri Atiku or Peter Obi. But, so long as MTN Nigeria Limited, DSTV, South African Breweries (SAB miller), Stanbic Merchant Bank and other South African conglomerates in Nigeria are repatriating their profits back home, is as long as the Nigerian Naira will continue to nosedive in value.
The same is true for European, American, and Asian companies.
Improving the value of the Naira has a direct relationship with the price of petrol because currently, Nigeria still imports most of its fuel.
Do you know that if all Nigerians stopped using MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, and instead used the only wholly Nigerian-owned mobile service provider, Globacom Nigeria Limited, it would have an IMMEDIATE impact on the value of the Naira and that would, in turn, have a multiplier effect on the price of petrol?
Every time you use an MTN line instead of a Glo SIM to make a call, you are literally saying, 'South Africa deserves my money better than Nigeria.'
And the next day, you will come on social media and wail about the value of the Naira and blame the government.
Go to South Africa and see whether they use any made in Nigeria products or services. In fact, go there and see whether you are even dignified as a Nigerian.
Be patriotic. Buy Nigerian to improve the value of the Naira. Yes, MTN may offer competitive services. But every penny you spend on their services robs you of a strong Naira. You are sending money and jobs to South Africa. And the more you patronise Globacom, the more revenue they have to reinvest in their business and offer you world-class services.
When you bank with Stanbic instead of First Bank, UBA, Guaranty Trust Bank, or any other Nigerian, you also put downward pressure on the Naira.
Each time you buy any cement or cereal product, other than Dangote, NASCO, or any other Nigerian brand, you are causing the Naira to lose steam.
The only way the Naira will rise in value is if we, as Nigerians, make a deliberate effort to buy Nigeria.
Instead of Birdseye custard and Quaker oats, drink akamu, pap, and ogi. If bread is too expensive because of imported wheat, have acara for breakfast. And by the way, palm wine will make your wife (not girlfriend) happier in the bedroom than champagne!
As far as Air Peace travels to the destination you are going abroad, you should patronise them. You are not giving money to Allen Onyeama. You are giving money to yourself. Air Peace is domiciled in Nigeria. Their revenue and profits circulate in Nigeria and help your purchasing power.
If I had my way, I would compel the President to ban any elected or appointed official, as well as civil servants and the staff of any company wishing to do contracts with the Federal Government of Nigeria, from flying a foreign airline on any route where a Nigerian airline currently flies.
We are experiencing desperate financial circumstances in Nigeria, and we require desperate remedies to revamp our economy after eight disastrous years of Buhari and restore some value to our beloved Naira.
As long as we prefer to buy foreign goods and services where there are viable Nigerian-made alternatives, we will have a boring Naira and Kobo!
Buhari was right about at least one thing. Change Begins With Me!

For anyone who cares about the journey of African-Americans in the 20th century, this book is a #Must.
It's the story of a poor black boy who, under Pres. #Kennedy, broke barriers and rose to nat'l prominence. #Rowan is a heroic figure to whom all blacks owe a debt of gratitude.
AfDB, Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Canada–AfDB Climate Fund are the new helpers of Abia State. They have all approved a total $240m loan for the state.
The project would see to the rehabilitation of roads, erosion control, infrastructure and preparation of solid waste management facilities in the state capital, Umuahia, and the commercial hub, Aba.
The project is expected to be completed in 2029.
Lt Colonel Adekunle Fajuyi died fighting for Nigeria's unity. He refused to hand over Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, who was visiting him, to the mutinous Northern soldiers who came to arrest and later kill him in revenge for the January 15, 1966 coup, and his refusal to punish the putschist. When he was told that he could succeed the Commander-in-Chief, he refused and said Ironsi was his guest and he would never abandon his guest.
Lt. Colonel Fajuyi chose to go with Ironsi when he was forcefully taken away by the mutineers, and ultimately was killed for his chivalry. Before and after, there has never been a more loyal, steadfast and honourable Nigerian soldier.
Perhaps in honour of his very rare sacrifice for Nigeria, for which he paid the ultimate price, President Bola Tinubu could have also named an airport after him. And if not an airport, then perhaps another national infrastructure with significant status.
Unless we say that dying for Nigeria's unity is not significant enough for national honours.
