@jojeok Sí, tienen la nacionalidad si solamente uno de sus padres es mexicano. Viene en la constitución. Fuera de territorio nacional ellos tienen derecho a decir que son mexicanos porque sí lo son. Otra cosa es que sus padres no les hayan enseñado nuestras costumbres

I understand the issue no one in the team LIVED in Mexico/make content mainly for Mexican Audiences

But, I don't understand the issue of Mexican-Americans representing Mexico because regardless of where they grew up,we still cheer to represent for ALL Mexicans in general, right?

i’ve also seen a lot of generalizations being made about mexican americans

yes there’s bad apples, there’s bad apples everywhere

but my point stands that we should stick together instead of tearing each other down.

i have seen people living in mexico be hateful to even the mexicans who moved to the US for a better life and that��s so insane.

we cheer on a korean and chant “hermano koreano ya eres mexicano” for eating a taco or being funny, yet we bring people in the same heritage down. it’s disheartening

@renrenruki LATAM is its own world they don’t really care to join English events bc English won’t transfer to Spanish like Spanish viewers transfer to watching in English. Also us Mexican American streamers are always balled in with LATAM (despite being American) when they don’t claim us

however mexican americans ARE mexicans and im not sure why this is a common conversation in the space. as mexicans, we should stick together and help each other reach new horizons, not bring each other down

@dammyts Pues sí, pero creo el problema recae en la falta de relación entre los creadores de México y ese círculo. Nuestros creadores no consumen tanto contenido gringo ni interactúan con ellos. En otros países sí hay más cruce entre comunidades y por eso los conocen

@veizau Is not about them not being mexican, because they are mexican, even if mexicans in Mexico say otherwise, unfortunately mexicans tend to be really harsh and start saying if someone can or cant be mexican, but is not up to them to decide, roots cant be denied

@nightkilling67 @veizau I don't like the "I'm only Mexican in this occasion" thing. But instead of excluding them, I like to see them as our Mexican cousins. We share the same roots, and I think we should just defend their right to claim that heritage.

@nightkilling67 @veizau I live in Mexico, but I also think that we are taught in school that we have a right to self-identity and nationality. So they can say they're Mexicans because our constitution gives them that right
