After watching this video, whatever you’re feeling is valid. Personally, I wouldn’t walk out. I’d probably be hurt, but I would genuinely ask questions.

Something like:

“Bobo, I’m really happy for you, but e get why you no tell me? Did I offend you?”

And honestly, I’m sure they would give me a reasonable explanation. It might not even make sense to me, and that’s okay. Their life doesn’t revolve around me. They are their own people, and they have families, relationships, and lives outside of our friendship.

At the end of the day, these are two grown adults who have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. They made a choice not to tell anyone until they were ready. What I think about that choice doesn’t change the fact that it is theirs to make.

Be happy for them.

I know friendship means different things to different people. And honestly, how you react can also depend on how much you’ve sacrificed, given, or invested in that friendship over the years. I understand that.

But one thing I’ve learned as a 23-year-old man is that, as an adult, your friends will make decisions you don’t agree with. Sometimes they’ll do things differently from how you would have done them. Sometimes, you’ll even feel left out.

You have to learn to deal with that.

Support them if you can. If you can’t, that’s your choice. Loving your friends doesn’t mean having a say in every decision they make.
