FAIMA has received multiple reports of mismatched Test City information- SMSes from NBEMS are mentioning different random cities across India, while the official candidate portal is showing the local/allotted city.

This has created unnecessary panic among aspirants who may need to arrange travel and accommodation.

@NBEMS_INDIA must urgently clarify the discrepancy and confirm which information candidates should rely upon.

Aspirants need clarity, not confusion.

🚨 FAIMA STANDS WITH AP JUDA 🚨

FAIMA extends its full solidarity and support to AP JUDA @APJUDAOfficial as they begin Phase 1 of their strike on 11 August 2026, following the failure of repeated representations and negotiations regarding the stipend hike.

A demand for a fair 30% stipend hike, while only 3% is being offered, deserves serious consideration. The concerns of interns, PGs, SS PGs, SRs and residents must not be ignored.
We urge the authorities to engage in meaningful dialogue and resolve the issue at the earliest.

Residents are the backbone of healthcare delivery. Their dignity, rights and welfare matter.

FAIMA has written to the Hon’ble Chairman, NMC, seeking urgent clarification and reconsideration regarding the eligibility of MSc–PhD non-medical faculty to act as Postgraduate Guides and Examiners for MD/MS students.
Multidisciplinary participation is welcome, but the distinction between scientific academic expertise and postgraduate clinical medical training must be maintained.
Patient safety and the quality of specialist training must remain paramount.

Revised Phased Strike Notice Over Unresolved Stipend Revision

The Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association (APJUDA) has officially submitted a revised representation to Hon’ble Health Minister @satyakumar_y Garu, announcing a phased strike action starting 10th August 2026.

Despite deferring our previous agitation in good faith following discussions with key health authorities, the official Government Order (G.O.) implementing stipend revision effective from 01.01.2026 remains pending.

📌 Agitation Schedule:
Phase I (Aug 10–11):
Non-emergency service withdrawal (9 AM – 1 PM)

Phase II (Aug 12–15):
Complete non-emergency service withdrawal

Govt Response Deadline:
Aug 15, 5:00 PM

Phase III (From Aug 17):
Indefinite escalation if unresolved

🚨 Emergency & Critical Services:
All ICUs, Emergency Departments, Trauma, Labor Rooms, and life-saving care will remain 100% operational throughout the agitation period.

We request urgent state intervention to issue the G.O. and avoid disruption to routine healthcare services.

Mumbai, Maharashtra: On the Bombay High Court issuing directions to call off the doctors' strike, Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors – MARD President Dr. Atharva Shinde says, "We were organizing a strike through Central MARD and BMC MARD, which involved doctors from 35 government medical colleges across Maharashtra, four municipal medical colleges, and JJ Hospital in Mumbai. We have been protesting for the past two days. All we wanted was for the government to understand that we do not wish to put any patient through inconvenience. The health and safety of patients remain our topmost priority. We do not want them to suffer any defect or damage; that is never our intention. That is why we were protesting against mixopathy and cross-pathy. However, respecting the directions issued by the High Court to call off the strike today and engage in talks with the government to resolve our demands, we urge the government through your channel to call us to the discussion table. They should listen to our demands so that a middle ground can be reached to prevent mixopathy..."

#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On doctors hold protest at Azad Maidan over pending demands, General Secretary, BMC MARD & President, KEM MARD Dr Solanke says, "... This protest is not against BHMS or CCMP. Our protest is against granting them registration under the MMC. This is not a new issue. We protested on the same matter last year, but withdrew it after being assured that such registrations would not be granted. This year, however, we need a concrete assurance that no such registrations will be allowed in future. The authorities have started the registration process even before the High Court delivers its decision, which is not appropriate..."

VIDEO | Delhi: Advocate Tanvi Dubey, on the Supreme Court hearing on pleas seeking structural changes to the NEET examination conducted by the NTA, says, "Today's hearing in the NEET matter was very important because the Centre's compliance affidavit was before the court. Since the Solicitor General was not present, the matter was first passed over and later adjourned to August 19. The court noted that the compliance affidavit filed by the Centre was on record, but Justice Surya Kant did not have a copy of it, following which the matter was adjourned. The hearing was crucial because the affidavit contains certain points that are very important from the petitioners' perspective as well. I was appearing for the FAIMA Association and pointed out that the proposal for a computer-based model, which is mentioned in the affidavit, is under active consideration. We submitted that if the committee takes three months to submit its report, very little time would remain before the next examination."

So, while most MBBS doctors are busy handling 12–18-hour shifts every day, MBBS students work hard to qualify NEET-UG and FMGE to practice modern medicine.
Spend countless hours working in wards, ICUs, and emergency departments, and then work even harder to qualify for the NEET-PG exam.

Meanwhile, the Government of Maharashtra has silently introduced the CCMP course for BHMS (Homeopathy) graduates. This means that after just one year of the CCMP course, BHMS doctors can prescribe modern medicines without having the same level of disease knowledge and training as modern medicine practitioners. The consequences of this could be serious for patients.

I don’t know why the government is so much into mixopathy.

Why can’t the government encourage and strengthen Homeopathy itself?
