Le musée maintient sa fréquentation au niveau de celle de 2023 (8,9 millions de visiteurs) dans le contexte très singulier des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de Paris 2024. Un événement planétaire qui a offert au Louvre une visibilité mondiale – avec le passage de la flamme lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture, l’installation de la vasque olympique dans le domaine des Tuileries et les épreuves qui ont traversé le site – replaçant l’ensemble du domaine en première place dans la liste des plus importants sites patrimoniaux et muséaux du monde.
