Dev Log - July 4, 2026

1/ Two quick ship updates on the FairEdgeAI scoring engine today impacting the data used for the crypto markets.

2/ Smart Money Alignment — the panel that shows how top traders are positioned — was opaque. "12% YES side, 32 of 126 top traders" left people guessing what the other 94 traders were doing.
We rewrote it:
Per-side % split among the committed traders
Trader count on each side
A conviction meter so you can see concentration, not just volume

3/ Crypto confidence was broken in a subtle way. All the Tier-1 quantitative anchors — barrier-model prior, TA snapshot, derivatives funding, ETF flows, whale sentiment — existed in the data but contributed exactly zero to the confidence score. Only the news evidence panel mattered. So a strong call sitting on top of a solid barrier-model prior could still drop to "low confidence" just because the LLM hit a guardrail flow. Fixed.

4/ Now each crypto anchor earns a small capped bonus, and there's a symmetric "aligned-with-prior" floor so solid quantitative signals don't get drowned out by thin news. The LLM self-report penalty is also halved when a real anchor is present.

5/ Net result: crypto calls on FairEdgeAI should stop collapsing to LOW for no good reason. Smart Money numbers should actually mean something. More soon.
