Somehow Chewbacca survived, one of the many WTF? moments in that movie - same with C-3PO having his memory erased but R2D2 having a backup even though he'd apparently been shut down for years, whenever they had a chance for a moment with emotional weight they pulled back from it.

I don't think that is how suing works - once someone causes property damage then you you can sue them, doesn't matter how quickly the damage is done - wild they used The Statue of Liberty being demolished as an example though, as Trump certainly doesn't know what it stands for.
