India's External Affairs Minister, at an official all-party meeting, used the word 'dalal' to describe Pakistan's diplomatic role.
Not in a chai dhaba. Not on a WhatsApp forward. At a formal government briefing.
This is what a decade of BJP rule has produced: a Foreign Minister who reaches for street-level abuse when confronted with the reality that Pakistan is hosting the most consequential peace talks on the planet and India has no seat, no role, and nothing to offer except name-calling.
The dignity of Indian diplomacy died somewhere between this briefing and that word.

#Statement | The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemns the Israeli occupation’s military escalation in the northern and southern parts of the #Gaza Strip, as well as its expansion in occupying large areas of the territory. Such actions contradict the will of the international community, violate human rights law and United Nations charters, and hinder prospects for peace and stability in the region.
We firmly oppose the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza. The level of human suffering is intolerable.
In the lead-up to the June 18 conference in New York, we must all work toward implementing the two-state solution.

There is restlessness in the silence. I was flipping the channel when ceasefire was announced. Aaj Tak and Zee News both started reporting ceasefire violations and drone attacks. Then suddenly a break came and after the break their entire tone of reporting changed. Someone posted on Twitter that Arnab was blasting Trump over ceasefire decision. Then he got a call between the show and when he returned his tone was completely changed. Omar Abdullah posted about multiple loud explosions in Srinagar and he hasn't posted anything since then. The media report claimed nothing happened. Why did Omar go silent as an eye witness? There is something govt is hiding. Why Home Minister Amit Shah & Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hasn't posted anything regarding the ceasefire. What happened in Nagrota? What happened in Vaishno Devi?. What happened in Srinagar?What input intelligence got? This doesn't look like just the Trump intervention saga. Going into coma mode after smoking 12 strategic air bases sounds very suspicious
We’re facing a massive drone attack from Pakistan. Our defense forces are intercepting them and honestly they’ve been exceptional.
But it’s disgusting that some are calling it Diwali fireworks, ignoring the real risk to civilians and soldiers.
What you’re calling Diwali is a nightmare for those living in border areas.
