A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games.

Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games.

The proposal would give players three basic rights:

>The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license
>The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode
>The right to transfer or resell games they own

Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place.

Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy:

“If you pay for it, you own it.”

Bloodborne got a a native PC port and now is running on Linux

A new open-source project called Bloodborne PC runs the PS4 version’s code natively instead of relying on traditional CPU emulation.

• 30, 60 and 90+ FPS support
• Vulkan rendering
• FSR 3.1, FSR 4 and FSR 4.1.1
• Gamepad support
• Working audio
• Save support
• Steam Deck support
• Around 90 FPS at 4K reportedly running on an RX 7800 XT

It’s based on heavily modified shadPS4 tech, but this project is specifically built around Bloodborne.

This 1974 Volkswagen Beetle had a trailer add-on that provides a small living space that can attach to the vehicle.

Bonus: it had a maneuverability of 360° and a good aerodynamics.
