If we give FPA to direct RN to NP or PA after graduation. Why can’t we do that for residents and #unmatched med students? #MedTwitter why aren’t we talking about this?
@rcecenas18@NotoriousS1Q3T3 I think you mean shadowing. I see daily how many RN’s just go online for a dnp or np, while requesting to shadow with me and other docs at the hospital. I think it’s pretty clear how easy it is to fake the hours. I’m in medicine, it happens in front of my eyes lol
A limited license to stay in the clinical setting is the right thing to do! Are you enjoying that your fellow docs are left with no other choice but to work for Uber, Lyft, and construction company? Medicine is too toxic! It doesn’t have to be this way! Be a mentor!
Dear PRIMARY CARE societies! Instead of wasting your time and money in destroying the 8K MDs/DOs who just recently went unmatched, we can all agree with over 6K clinical hrs, there is plenty these docs can do! This system is out of touch! Protect your own! Put the ego aside!
I'm done.
I no longer believe the Republican Party can be saved. The vitriolic rhetoric is inspiring violent radicals.
I'm quitting the GOP. And I hope more do the same.
@Hamultonne@HalstedMD Demand a transfer to a hospital with physicians! Never Ever sign consent to be treated by providers or non physicians… last resort.. leave ama and drive to a hospital woth ohysicians
@GallaherCaren@HalstedMD I'm a lawyer and I don't tend to read all that boilerplate. Thank you for reminding me to check what I am signing when getting medical care. You never know these days.
As President of Orange County Chapter of @cafp_familydocs, I’m deeply saddened to report the devastating loss of life of a beloved family physician due to a terrible hate crime, who worked not only in the county in which we live, but from the practice we go to & love.#Condolences
@JAFERDIAN@HalstedMD Just waiting for the hospital administrators to be affected like this! They cause numerous harm to patients and families, I’m waiting for the day it happens to them
Congrats to newly minted physicians. You’ll soon learn a few harsh realities — medical societies and the hospital complex are actively depreciating your degree.
While they serve vital roles in our health systems, NPs and PAs cannot fill the gaps in the U.S. physician supply and may lead to higher health care costs. Physician-led care teams are vital to maintaining the health of our health systems. https://t.co/mx36ocl1Qu #StopScopeCreep
@ARNPvernon@EdwinaPinero@HalstedMD How do you even compare them seriously? Under a serious discussion. It’s like when people compared flu vs covid in the beginning of pandemic. They are both virus right. So they must be the same.
@ARNPvernon@EdwinaPinero@HalstedMD They are different and not equal. One you have to be top of your HS,college, mcat, and then have a chance to go to medical school and be really good to even match at a program to practice skills for 3 years before calling yourself attending. One you can buy it online part time.
@EdwinaPinero@ARNPvernon@HalstedMD What professional awareness. The PA is doctor of medical science it’s clearly the same thing as an MD. Actually they and the DNP know more than MD
