@HAHayatu I'm shocked that this operation in Kastina was carried out without the advantage of air support. No helicopter was available to evaluate her, even when she was discovered.
We have a handful of a good number of AW-109s sitting idle in @NigerianNavy and the @NigAirForce hangars.
The Nigeria Police Force: Finally, The Sleeper Awakens. The new leadership of the NPF seems to have unlocked the neglected hidden potentials of the Officers and Men of the NPF. The IGP while giving purposeful leadership with a humane and empathetic face, seems to have reenergized the collective resolve of the Force, and by so doing, inspired them to do better…and they are doing that. Kudos to the black belt Judoka.
@OpeBee This government should emulate the PMB administration in defence spending. We must strengthen the police, army, and air force to defeat insecurity. State governments should also adopt policies that help investigators tackle crime before it escalates.

@beegeaglesblog I believe the ministry needs proactive leadership. At the moment, it appears trapped in inactivity and institutional dormancy. With growing public outcry for a more effective and accountable police force, the ministry’s response has seemed overly docile and disconnected.
Last night's operation targeted a significant presence of ISIS fighters in Northeastern Nigeria eliminating multiple high value individuals including Abu-Bilal al-Minuki.
@PoliceNG_CRU Great idea 💡 Maybe use a simple online platform where every police officer logs in and learns. Messages from leaders can be turned into short lessons so everyone understands and follows them properly.

When you write about Nigerian military successes, it barely trends. It gets ignored. But when they fail, and you write, it dominates the conversation. It defines your work in the eyes of many.
You may rate the military poorly. That is your right. But without the military, the reality shifts fast. Many of us would not be tweeting freely. We would be doing so from refugee camps, or not at all.
I have always harped on retraining.
Those are supposed to be undercover agents driving unmarked cars, waiting for the next emergency so they can step in, enforce the law, and bring swift justice. But here, greed and corruption fueled by minted notes have taken over.
The Nigeria Police Force needs to tighten up honestly. Why do we have police officer doing stop and search without uniform and no ID Card? Just random outfit like a gangster with a gun. Your colleagues are in uniform, why aren’t you? And you are the loudest.
The country itself is not safe, no be Police suppose dey add to our fear🤦🏾♂️
@RealAARahman These tools significantly improve safety, awareness, and operational effectiveness. These are our sons and daughters serving on the front lines — they deserve the best protection and resources we can provide. Please treat them with the care and respect their service demands.
@RealAARahman Your Excellency, I respectfully urge you to ensure our troops are fully supported with MRAPs, overwatch drones, and practical battlefield enhancements such as extended-range torch lights.
Mr President,
This lukewarm response is exactly what I expected — and I'm not surprised.
Calling it a "sign of desperation" while they’re plucking your redneck generals suggests all is not well at the front.
It certainly doesn’t look like confidence. It looks like strain.
From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many terrorist fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation.
I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country in Borno State.
The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever.
I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged.
Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety.
I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable.
My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace.

President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
