When you design stuff, you don't get better at it per se!

You just fail faster and win more often - it's just experience. Not everything you try comes off, it just doesn't and sometimes things just fly out your pen and it's an instant win!

I place my expectations in a place where I have the confidence to know if it's going to work or not and, as soon as reach that point I either continue and make some rad stuff, or try another way of doing it and ultimately make some rad stuff!

The only option where you don't make cool shit, is, if you quit. Which is pointless, so yeah - just start something and see it though to completion and you will inevitably win by default.
